Different Dumplings

From KoBeQue. Fried dumplings with Awesome CoWorker. Very tasty and nice dipping sauce. Awesome is about to pop so I think our lunches will soon be coming to an end. 

Migrated to new Windows nonsense at work. Can't we all just have Macs instead?  So far it's given me a bad tension headache like some old person and they took away my Firefox. That totally pisses me off. The explorer browser is far inferior to Firefox in performance. Ill need to see if they also took away my admin rights. If not then game on.

Followed by bad dinner. Seriously, why do I so this to myself. Pei Wei spicy chicken salad. Not quite what I was expecting. What I got was not good. PW is never good. Ever. I keep trying and it keeps sucking hard. Boooooo.

Vietnamese Please

This will be quick. I will come back and full in later. Awesome Coworker took me to some Vietnamese joint that didn't seem to have a name. Got a BBQ pork sandwich. Super fresh veggies. Pork good and tasty. Bread could have been better quality but no biggie. It was toasted and dried out so kind of like a sandwich on a crouton. Really though it was ok. Enjoyed it and pretty cheap. Also got a mango smoothie which was INSANE! In a good way. It tasted just like mango and nothing else. I'm sure though it was like mango and a cup of sugar. Anyway highly recommend if you go I Nameless Vietnamese near High fashion home. At least I think that is where it was. Have to consult with Awesome.

Something New . . .

Treebeard's chili with cheese. Brownie and do-it-yourself placemat. I learned the "rip the bag and eat off it" from my peeps in NYC and it has serves me well. 

Ok, first look at the grease/spice stain on the lid of the chili. Marvelous.  Cheese: are you kidding me with this?  Is this joke cheese? That is maybe enough for 2 bites. Not a whole container. 

Good bean to beef ratio. Good heat. In fact my nose is running and lips are burning. Nice spice. Maybe a little on the salty side. 

I went for a brownie today. As good as the butter cake is the brownie is as bad. I do not love your brownie Treebeard's. very dry. Not good chocolate flavor. Super disappointment. 

Crawfish boil is tomorrow!

If you are in Texas and anywhere near The Woodlands ever-do yourself a favor and go get some Crust Pizza.  I don't care if you are hungry or not.  GET IT.  It is GOOD.  It's so good I keep eating it before I can snap a photo.  We got one by our house now and it has settled firmly into the rotation.  Fantastic thin crispy crust, good toppings.  Nice fresh salads.  Beer.  What more do you need?  Nothing.  Oh and killer garlic knots.  The knots are the shiz.  You know I don't lie to you about food.

Crust Pizza, is-- a 5.  Yes, I do think I could eat it everyday.  Recommended.

Farmers Market Lunch

New for me despite 3 yrs of downtown farmers markets on Wednesday.

Opted for Nisha's vegetable samosa. Had to bring it back and do a combo microwave toaster oven warm up.

Curry and spice perfection. I have died and gone to heaven. The End.

Update: Made the FM foray with Chungry and The Gal Next Door.  Chungry had the Nisha's lunch plate special which looked and smelled AWESOME!  He reports that is was in fact tasty:

But pricey.  I think he paid $12 for it and I seem to recall that the Indian lunch buffet (all you can eat) in downtown DC was around that price.  But- if you're the only game in town I guess you can do what you want.

Girl Next Door got what looked like a really nice pulled pork and black bean tostada.  She ate 3 bites, said it was awful and couldn't eat any more.  Of course that got Chungry and I wondering if that was legit or not so we had to try it.  Per Chungry, "I am offended by this.  This is offensive to food."  And he is right.  I don't know what they pulled the pork with or what it was supposed to taste like, but whatever it was was an epic FAIL.  I think I've had spoiled food that tasted better than this did.  It wasn't that it tasted bad per se, it's that is DIDN'T TASTE LIKE ANYTHING AT ALL.  How is that even possible?  I mean like not even any salt or pepper.  Nada.  Chungry suggested that perhaps it was bland b/c it was organic?  Um ok so that doesn't make any sense but we couldn't come up with any other legit explanation.  It was just so weird. Imagine plain beans and plain pork, then imagine that it doesn't even taste like that.  It's PLAINER.  I am not kidding.  Go lick the floor.  Dirty floor has more flavor.  Are you feeling me here?  It was a disgrace to food everywhere.  I'm not even sure we can justify a redo to confirm.  Wasn't my meal, but tostada gets a zero and a "stay the hell away".
